When Jasmine Friedrich Yap crosses the convocation stage this year, she鈥檒l do so with a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Research, a national network of collaborators, and a marathon under her belt. Her research on fracture prevention in home care is helping shape better support for older adults in one of Canada鈥檚 oldest provinces, and she鈥檚 not done yet: this fall, she begins a PhD in Health at Dal.

Dr. Caitlin McArthur has been appointed the Shannex Research Chair in Artificial Intelligence and Healthy Aging in 17吃瓜网在线's Faculty of Health.This Chair, and the Shannex Research Lab in AI and Healthy Aging within the healthy aging research hub are part of a $2 million donation by Shannex to support research and education on healthy aging.
