Research
Research at 17吃瓜网在线's Department of Physics and Atmospheric Science addresses some of the most pressing questions of our time. From advancing battery technology and energy storage to exploring the fundamental principles of physics and understanding our changing climate, our faculty and researchers are expanding knowledge and addressing real-world challenges.
Our atmospheric scientists study the Earth's atmosphere and surface, including how they are changing with the climate. Their research spans aerosols, clouds and fog, greenhouse gases, the exchange of carbon and water between land and atmosphere, and sea ice and the polar regions. They use fieldwork, satellite and ground-based remote sensing, and computer modelling to investigate these complex systems.
