As detailed in 17³Ô¹ÏÍøÔÚÏß’s Employment Equity Policy, 17³Ô¹ÏÍøÔÚÏß is committed to equity and inclusion and has instituted active measures to eliminate discrimination and to reverse the historic under-representation of women as well as Indigenous peoples (especially Mi’kmaq), persons of Black/African descent (especially African Nova Scotians), and other members of racialized groups, persons with disabilities, and members of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

At 17³Ô¹ÏÍøÔÚÏß, the Employment Equity Council, People and Culture including the Office for Equity & Inclusion, and the Employment Equity Leads within 17³Ô¹ÏÍøÔÚÏß units work together to provide advice on the strategic planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Employment Equity Policy and 17³Ô¹ÏÍøÔÚÏß’s Employment Equity Plan. 17³Ô¹ÏÍøÔÚÏß faculty, staff, and students also have access to training opportunities on gender equality and unconscious biases.Ìý
